SAN FRANCISCO (KRON) — A winter weather system is set to bring rain and isolated thunderstorms to the majority of the Bay Area Tuesday, according to the National Weather Service. The most likely timeframe for the storm to hit is late Monday.
Christmas Eve weather could see lightning, increased flood potential and wind gusts up to 50 mph with hail the size of pennies, the NWS warns. Tuesday’s unsettled weather comes on the heels of a dangerous ocean swell Monday that saw a portion of the Santa Cruz Wharf collapse into the ocean.
