Delhi Elections 2025: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath addressed his first public rally for the Delhi elections 2025 in Karol Bagh area of the capital on Thursday, January 23.

In his speech, Mr. Adityanath attacked the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), saying its government had turned Delhi into a “garbage dump”, ignored people’s basic facilities, and left behind illegal Bangladeshis and Rohingyas. He said he is helping the people settle in Okhla area of the city. Okhla is one of six Muslim-majority seats in Delhi’s 70-member parliament.
“Delhi’s Okhla industrial area is in disarray due to lack of facilities. AAP has hindered industrial growth while encouraging the settlement of Bangladeshi illegals. In contrast, New Okhla area (Noida) in Uttar Pradesh It is a great example of development,” said Adityanath. He spoke at a public meeting in Kirari.
The 2025 Delhi elections are scheduled for February 5 and the results will be declared on February 8. Although AAP won the last two elections, the BJP has not been in power in Delhi for 27 years.
“With the help of Bangladeshi infiltrators and their (AAP) councilors, the officials together incited riots in 2020. They caused chaos and hooliganism in Shaheen Bagh.” Adityanath said.

Both slogans, calling for Hindu unity, ended up becoming the Bharatiya Janata Party’s poll pitch in the Maharashtra state elections, with party leaders including Mr. Modi, Mr. Yogi and Devendra Fadnavis pinning their hopes on the 2024 elections. It used these slogans ahead of parliamentary elections in November.
Mahayuti, led by the Bharatiya Janata Party, won with an overwhelming majority in the Maharashtra state assembly election, and Fadnavis became the prime minister.

Adityanath alleged that AAP convener Arvind Kejriwal had committed the “crime” of turning the Yamuna into a “dirty drain”.
