The brand you know and love for creating skis that break the mold, inspire creativity and revolutionized the sport of skiing have entered the boot market with Armada’s first lineup of boots—dubbed AR ONE. For so many athletes, and everyday skiers, a ski day can be soured when all you’re thinking about are your boots. Maybe they don’t fit properly, maybe they’re not stiff enough or give you terrible shin bang. Whether you play predominantly in terrain parks, on top of big peaks or a mixture of both, the AR ONE boot series has a boot for every style of rider.
By conducting an in-depth, industry wide survey, Armada identified a few key problems skiers have with their boots: Poor heel hold, shin and toe bang, liner discomfort, a lack of direct and precise steering and continual compromising between performance and comfort. To appease all of these boot gripes, Armada came up with a hybrid cabrio construction that takes all of the comfort aspects of a three-piece boot and packages it in a four-buckle design to optimize performance.
You’ll notice the AR ONE only has three buckles and the middle buckle is the star of the show. Dubbed by the brand as a Slingshot Buckle, the cord connected to this buckle uses muti-vector tension to pull the heel back into place without creating uncomfortable pressure on top of the foot. When this is combined with a progressive flex, many of the boot issues listed above are solved. The boots also feature a memory fit shell and liner, a 50-millimeter powerstrap, replaceable hardware and the 130 flex specifically includes half tech toe inserts for uninhibited backcountry freeriding.
Just as Armada utilizes its athletes in ski development, the team—including industry legends Tanner Hall and Quinn Wolferman— was heavily involved in the design and testing of the AR ONE series to ensure it’s a boot that can withstand the most extreme demands of power, fit, comfort and performance. From big mountain athletes to the team of devout freestyle skiers, Armada’s dedication to making a boot for all is on full display with the AR ONE lineup.
Featuring a 100-millimeter last in a variety of flexes—90, 100, 110, 120 and 130—the AR ONE collection is now available in limited quantities and sizes at select retailers with the complete collection going live in Fall of 2025 with size offerings from 23.5 up to 29.5. No matter where you predominantly play on the mountain, the AR ONE boot series has a boot for every style of rider.
