Tottenham will be watching their north London rivals without a shred of pity, given the number of injuries they have suffered this season.
Arsenal’s season has been stalled by long-term injuries sustained first by Martin Odegaard and now by Bukayo Saka, but Ange Postecoglou will be working without their first-choice defender for the majority of the ongoing campaign. I am forced to do that.
Spurs have been hampered by injuries, but they still have a chance to win silver in their three cup games. The club’s poor league results have kept the pressure on Wednesday’s north London derby to a minimum, but an away win against Arsenal would be huge for a manager who has yet to convince the Lilywhites’ fan base as a whole. It will be the scalp.
Tottenham’s injury situation has changed since the weekend and we will provide an update ahead of the trip to the Emirates.

Guglielmo Vicario rushed back to the training pitch after watching Antonin Kinski strut on his debut against Liverpool last week. The 21-year-old’s strong start in north London will only hasten Vicario’s desire to return from a broken ankle, which is expected to keep him out until next month.
Fraser Foster has missed the last few games due to illness and it remains to be seen whether he will be on the bench against Arsenal.
At centre-back, Radu Dragusin and Archie Gray will remain together, but Cristian Romero and Micky van de Ven will both be sidelined until the end of the month. Ben Davies is close to returning from a hamstring injury and could be included in Wednesday’s matchday squad.
Destiny Udogi is also down with a hamstring problem and is expected to return in mid-February.

Rodrigo Bentancur was sent off after a worrying early exchange with Liverpool. The midfielder was taken on a stretcher to hospital, but coach Postecoglou confirmed Bentancur had suffered a concussion.
He did not feature in the game against Tamworth at the weekend and will not feature at the Emirates as he is following concussion protocol.
Yves Bissouma has put together some impressive performances to start 2025 and should continue to play at the base of midfield.

Richarlison returned to training at the start of the year and is now ready to make his long-awaited return from injury in the derby.
“(Richarlison) has been harassing me for the last 10 days to come on, but we’ve dealt with that with discipline and he looked really good in training,” Postecoglou said on Tuesday. he said. “He seems ready to go and I’m really happy to have him back.”
The Brazilian suffered a hamstring injury in the 4-1 win over Aston Villa and has been out for several months.
However, Tottenham appear to have lost Timo Werner to a hamstring injury. The German struggled against Tamworth on Sunday, playing 90 minutes before Spurs scored three goals in extra time. Spurs will wait for the results of the scan before making a diagnosis. However, he is not scheduled to play on Wednesday.
Wilson Odbert, who joined in the summer, has been out for a long time after undergoing hamstring surgery, and it is still unclear when he will return.
