In Bournemouth’s emphatic 5-0 win against high-flying Nottingham Forest on Saturday, forward Dango Ouattara became the first player from Burkina Faso to score a Premier League hat-trick. His treble means that 47 nations have now contributed at least one hat-trick in the division, with Burkina Faso becoming the 12th African nation to do so. Since the league’s inception in the 1992/93 campaign, a grand total of 396 hat-tricks have now been scored in the Premier League. There have already been 10 hat-tricks this season alone.
