The actress on her candid new memoir and why she feels she’s not allowed to get older
A couple of years ago, Brooke Shields was at a party in chic Midtown New York at the home of a friend of a friend. The host was newly divorced and had an extremely impressive walk-through wine cellar in his home, she writes in her new book, Brooke Shields is Not Allowed to Get Old: Thoughts on Ageing as a Woman.
Shields sought him out to chat about the wines and the host told her he liked to buy wines from significant years in his life, noting that based on the year of his birth, he was “a ’72 vintage, a great year”.
