According to Fabrizio Romano, Napoli are in talks with Borussia Dortmund over the possibility of signing Karim Adeyemi.
The Serie A leaders are actively working on procuring a replacement for Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, whom they sold a few days ago to Paris Saint-Germain. One of the potential candidates for the role is Manchester United’s Alejandro Garnacho, but the two clubs appear to be far away in their respective valuations of the Argentina international, and Napoli have obviously decided to look elsewhere. What is more, Garnacho is now a target for Chelsea, who are believed to be preparing an official offer for his services.
Adeyemi has therefore become a primary target for Napoli. Having missed two months of action through a torn muscle fibre, the 23-year-old Germany international has made 13 appearances across all competitions for Dortmund this season, scoring five goals and providing as many assists.
🚨🔵 Understand direct contacts today between Napoli and Karim Adeyemi have been positive.
Nothing sealed/agreed yet aa contacts continue, while Napoli work on €45/50m package deal with Borussia Dortmund.
