US crude oil inventories fell last week
WASHINGTON, Jan. 23 (QNA) – U.S. crude oil and distillate inventories fell last week, while gasoline inventories rose, the U.S. Energy Information Administration said Thursday.
Crude oil inventories fell by 1 million barrels last week to 411.7 million barrels, the U.S. Department of Energy’s Short-Term Energy Forecasting and Statistics Division said in a statement.
It added that during the week, crude oil inventories at its Cushing, Oklahoma, distribution center fell by about 148,000 barrels, crude oil consumption at refineries fell by 1.1 million barrels per day, and refinery capacity utilization fell by 5.8 percentage points. .
The statement said gasoline inventories increased by 2.3 million barrels last week to 245.9 million barrels, and U.S. net crude oil imports increased by 184,000 barrels per day, while distillate stocks, including diesel and heating oil, It showed a decrease of 3.1 million barrels.
