Arsenal forward Kai Havertz praised his team’s performance on social media after their 3-0 win over Dinamo Zagreb in the Champions League on Wednesday (22 January).
The 25-year-old scored Arsenal’s second goal and helped them stand on the brink of automatically qualifying for the round of 16.
Declan Rice put the home side ahead after just two minutes, thanks to some excellent hold-up play from Havertz as he volleyed past Ivan Nevstic on the half-volley.
The German forward scored just after the first hour, and Arsenal captain Martin Odegaard added another in stoppage time.
Arsenal now sit third in the new league stage of the Champions League with 16 points from seven games following their victory over Dinamo Zagreb.

Havertz has been an integral part of Mikel Arteta’s plans so far this season, starting 27 of 30 games in all competitions, scoring 14 goals and providing four assists in 2,468 minutes.

After the win against Dinamo Zagreb, Havertz praised the team’s performance and momentum on Instagram, saying, “We’re keeping the momentum going in the UCL.”
Arsenal travel to Girona, Spain, for their final Champions League game on January 29, knowing that victory would guarantee automatic qualification.
But Arteta’s attention will be firmly on domestic matters for now, as he faces Wolves in his next Premier League match on Saturday (January 25).
