Shafala Winter Festival opens on Thursday
Doha, January 21 (QNA) – Shafara Center for the Disabled will hold the first Shafara Winter Festival at Doha Old Port from January 23 to 25. The three-day event will run from 4pm to 9pm each day and will provide a vibrant celebration of entertainment, creativity and awareness.
Maryam Saif Al Suwaidi, Executive Director of Shafarah Center, emphasized the festival’s goal of promoting understanding of people with disabilities and promoting their integration into society.
Al Suwaidi said the event is a great opportunity to showcase the talents of the Center’s members and raise awareness about inclusion, adding that highlights of the festival include handmade crafts and works of art by the Center’s members. He emphasized that it will include the “Al Shafarah Shop” exhibit and interactive events. There will be games, plays, and a special photo exhibition showcasing the achievements of participants. At the photo station, you can capture memories of the event.
She extended invitations to the public and families, encouraging them to attend the festival and experience the exciting events planned during the celebrations. (QNA)
