Kyle Walker continues to push for a move from Man City and is expected to complete his move to AC Milan “within the next few days”.
This comes from former Man United and Blackburn chief scout Mick Brown, who remains well-connected with match officials and said the move was now “inevitable”. He exclusively told Football Insider that it was the best outcome for all parties.
The 34-year-old has been left out of Josep Guardiola’s squad for the last four games after announcing his intention to leave the Etihad.
Walker is thought to be open to a move to Italy as it suits his game better, amid concerns that he is starting to slow down in the twilight of his career.
Football Insider revealed in November that Man City staff had expressed concerns about the right-back’s rapid decline in performance and ability.
As a result, they are keeping an eye on the transfer market and it is expected that his position will be strengthened once his departure is confirmed.

Kyle Walker set to leave Man City ‘within days’
Brown told Football Insider in October that City had already begun working on a deal to sign Walker’s replacement, with the club feeling his time was coming to an end.
The former scout, who spent more than a decade at Man United during their most successful period and has extensive experience in recruiting top-level players, now believes City are as interested in his departure as they are in him. I explained.
“He has made it clear to City that he wants to leave,” he told Football Insider.
“In that case, the sooner he leaves the club, the better.
“They don’t want a player who doesn’t want to be there, so as much as he wants to leave, they expect to push him out the door.
“I think we’ll probably see an agreement within days, not weeks.
“I feel it is inevitable that he will leave Manchester City.
“If he thinks he has lost a little bit of his edge, which I think he has, then a move to Italy would suit him.

“It’s in his best interest and the club’s best interest to ensure this deal gets done.
“Everything happened so quickly, I think it will be over soon.”
