Red Hat and NIST are co-sponsoring an open forum to hear about and discuss the continued evolution of information systems and its impact on cybersecurity. This development is most clearly seen in the connectedness of the numerous infrastructure systems and data that our critical infrastructure now relies on. In the half-day event, hear from leaders and industry that are most shaped by this advancement and how the nation is designing approaches to safeguard against current and emerging threats.
Two themes will be highlighted for this year’s Cybersecurity Symposium:
- Emerging Standards – There are many emerging areas of cybersecurity that require development of new standards, such as cloud computing and edge systems. Developing common standards can pose challenges to engineers and cybersecurity professionals. This symposium will hear from a keynote speaker and panel to discuss the challenges of developing common standards, as well as the latest updates in emerging cybersecurity standards.
- Space Cybersecurity – The Space Economy makes up a significant part of the U.S. economy. Space cybersecurity is essential for maintaining space operations and ensuring continuity of business in space. This symposium will hear from a keynote speaker and panel to discuss the importance of cybersecurity in space, and will highlight a case study from the International Space Station (ISS).
