La Liga side Real Betis have reached an agreement in principle to sign Manchester United winger Anthony on loan for the remainder of the season, according to sources from GIVEMESPORT.
Anthony has struggled to make a big impact since joining Old Trafford on a move from Dutch club Ajax. The Brazilian forward joined United after previously working together under manager Erik ten Hag, but it has become clear he will not be a key player under manager Ruben Amorim.
The 24-year-old reportedly earns around £200,000-a-week at Old Trafford, with United paying around £86m to bring him to the club. Anthony came on as a substitute in United’s last game against Southampton in the Premier League, but has yet to start a game for Amorim’s English first team.

The deal is understood to be a straight loan with no option or obligation to buy, and will see him return to Old Trafford in the summer. An agreement was reached on Sunday morning, with United set to donate part of his wages during his temporary stay at the Spanish club.
Considering Anthony’s lack of game time under two different managers this season, allowing Anthony to leave during the January transfer window seems like a wise move for United. I can feel it. The Brazilian has yet to start a Premier League game this term, meaning his career has stalled, which could impact on future transfer fees.
