Manchester United’s Anthony is nearing the completion of a six-month loan to Real Betis, with only the “final details” of the deal being discussed.
This comes from transfer guru Fabrizio Romano, who posted the news on his X account this morning.
Romano said:
“Real Betis are close to signing Anthony with Man United!
“The final details of the agreement are being discussed and there are no option clauses included at this time and the loan will run until June.
Anthony will open the door for a transfer and Man United will also pay part of his salary.”

Yesterday, People’s Person reported that the movement is accelerating, and now it looks like it’s definitely coming.
United have sought reassurance that the Brazilian needs to be given sufficient playing time by manager Manuel Pellegrini for a deal to be finalized.
With the loan not having a buy-out clause and United paying part of Anthony’s wages, this move is unlikely to free up funds for the budding star this month and fans will be disappointed.
Indeed, Anthony’s absence for the rest of the season leaves the Red Devils very short-handed in attack, with Mason Greenwood already gone, Marcus Rashford banned from the first team and Jadon Sancho on loan at Chelsea. However, there are no substitutes in either case.
Mason Mount’s lingering injury problems also leave United with one player down.
Anthony has been a great backup to the talented Amad, but if the Ivorian gets injured or falls ill, head coach Rouben Amorim will be left scrambling to find a replacement on the right side of the attack. That’s going to happen.
