Tottenham Hotspur and Arsenal are reportedly interested in signing Juventus star Andrea Cambiaso, according to Catch Offside.
The Lilywhites have struggled with injury problems so far this season, mostly at the back. Micky van de Ven and Cristian Romero, the first-choice centre-backs, are both sidelined due to their own issues.
Additionally, Guglielmo Vicario and Destiny Udogui were absent due to injury. As a result, he has found it difficult to show consistency this season.
They started the season well, defeating both Manchester clubs away by a combined score of 7-0. However, they were unable to maintain their momentum and are currently in 14th place in the Premier League with 24 points after 21 games.
Ange Postecoglou has previously suggested that Spurs are considering options to strengthen their squad this winter and have already signed Antonin Kinski.

Catch Offside now claims that the Australian manager is looking to add depth to the full-back position and has identified Cambiaso as a key option. The north London club have been monitoring his development in recent days ahead of a potential swoop. The Bianconeri don’t want to let their star man go cheaply and are hoping for at least £46m.
However, it won’t be easy for Tottenham to sign the Italian, with manager Mikel Arteta highly rated the 24-year-old and Arsenal also interested in him. Aston Villa and Manchester City are also in the race, with the Citizens believed to be the favorites to seal the deal.
Arsenal have also struggled with injury problems this season. Bukayo Saka and Gabriel Jesus have recently suffered serious injuries, while Ben White and Takehiro Tomiyasu have also been sidelined for extended periods.
Summer signing Riccardo Calafioli has found it difficult to stay fit this season. Arteta therefore appears to be looking to add depth to the full-back position.
Cambiaso is a technically talented and versatile player. He is comfortable with both feet and can play in either full-back position and is also capable in a more advanced role.
The 24-year-old has recently established himself as a key player for Juventus and an integral part of the Italian national team’s starting eleven.
