Jota faces another short spell out due to injury after Slott revealed he is likely to miss Liverpool’s game against Brentford.
On Friday morning, the head coach explained: “When he came in (against Forest) he was feeling a bit ticklish for half an hour.
“He was able to finish the match, but only after complaining about it. That’s why he didn’t train yesterday. We need to see if he’s available today and of course tomorrow. There is.”
Slott later added that it would be “tough” to be in Saturday’s squad, but “we should see him on the pitch again in the near future.”
Jota has already missed 11 games due to injury this season, taking his total number of games missed in just four-and-a-half years since joining Liverpool to almost 85.
