Comparing certain things to Groundhog Day, the 1993 film in which Bill Murray is doomed to relive the same span of time over and again, is the laziest of journalistic cliches. Nothing else, though, captures the sheer jaw-numbing frustration that comes sometimes from watching prime time terrestrial TV.
