Five Alberta residents have been charged after High Level Mounties responded to a firearms complaint that resulted in the seizure of firearms, cocaine, and illegal cigarettes.
Mounties received reports Sunday around 8 p.m. about a firearm discharged at a house near 106 Street in High Level and that a fight may be breaking out. When police arrived, they arrested three men and two women. After searching the residence, police seized two firearms, roughly 50 grams of cocaine, and 2,800 illegal cigarettes.

Police have charged Mateo Ahnassay, 29, Jesse Lee Roger Chalifoux, 46, Savannah Chambaud-Chalifoux, 24, Troy Damian Francis, 20, and Jamie Hollands, 31.
Ahnassay, a resident of Chateh, was charged with:
- Two counts of pointing a firearm
- Two counts of discharge of a firearm with intent
- Possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking
- Possession of firearm with tampered serial number
- Possession/selling of unstamped tobacco
- Two counts of unsafe storage of firearms
- Two counts of possession of firearm/weapon/device/ammunition in motor vehicle
- Using a firearm in the commission of an offence
- Two counts of unauthorized possession of a prohibited/restricted weapon
- Possession of restricted/prohibited weapon with ammunition easily accessible
- Two counts of possession of restricted/prohibited weapon with ammunition without a license
- Mischief under $5,000
Chalifoux, a resident of Paddle Prairie, was charged with:
- Two counts of pointing a firearm
- Two counts of discharge of a firearm with intent
- Possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking
- Possession of firearm with tampered serial number
- Possession/selling of unstamped tobacco
- Two counts of unsafe storage of firearms
- Two counts of possession of firearm/weapon/device/ammunition in motor vehicle
- Using a firearm in the commission of an offense
- Two counts of unauthorized possession of a prohibited/restricted weapon
- Possession of restricted/prohibited weapon with ammunition easily accessible
- Two counts of possession of restricted/prohibited weapon with ammunition without a license

Chambaud-Chalifoux, a resident of Bushe River, was charged with:

Hollands, a resident of Lethbridge, was charged with:
- Two counts of pointing a firearm
- Two counts of discharge of a firearm with intent
- Possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking
- Possession of firearm with tampered serial number
- Possession/selling of unstamped tobacco
- Unsafe storage of firearms x2
- Two counts of possession of firearm/weapon/device/ammunition in motor vehicle
- Using a firearm in the commission of an offence
- Two counts of unauthorized possession of a prohibited/restricted weapon
- Possession of restricted/prohibited weapon with ammunition easily accessible
- Two counts of possession of restricted/prohibited weapon with ammunition without a license
Ahnassay was remanded with a court date Tuesday at Fort Vermilion.
Chalifoux, Chambaud-Chalifoux, Francis, and Hollands, were remanded with a court date on Wednesday in Chateh.
