Manchester United have received their first offer from Napoli for manager Alejandro Garnacho as Hviča Kvaratscheria approaches his exit from the Serie A club, according to reports.
The Red Devils are rumored to be willing to accept offers for almost all of their players in the January transfer window in a bid to balance manager Ruben Amorim’s squad.
Marcus Rashford has revealed he is ready to leave Old Trafford and find a ‘new challenge’, but Man United stars Koby Mainu, Garnacho and others are linked with moves elsewhere has been done.
And with Paris Saint-Germain set to sign Kvaratschelia from Napoli, the Serie A club’s manager Antonio Conte has ‘selected’ Man United winger Garnacho to replace the Georgian.
ESPN journalist Julian Lawrence confirmed today that Kvaratschelia is “close to a move” to PSG and that Napoli are currently looking for a replacement.
Lawrence writes:
“Napoli winger Hviča Kvaratschelia is close to joining Paris Saint-Germain, sources told ESPN. The two clubs are scheduled to meet on Monday to finalize a deal.”
“A source told ESPN that the deal is worth 60 million euros for the Georgia international, who was the best player in Serie A when Napoli finished their 33-year wait for the Scudetto in May 2023. It is likely to be worth between $65 million and 65 million euros.”
Mr Lawrence added:
“Kvaratschelia has already agreed personal terms with the Ligue 1 leaders on a five-year contract. His contract with Napoli expires in June 2027 – the club had hoped to extend it. He refused.”

And Italian journalist Alfredo Pedula admitted that Napoli have “offered 40 euros plus 5 euros” for Garnacho, but Man United are “looking for more” from the Serie A side.
Garnacho is currently a “big target” in the January transfer window, Kvaratschelia is “destined” to PSG and Napoli have already paid €45 million ( (including bonuses).
Man United are claiming 60 million euros, but Pedulla claim that “the valuation could fall”, with the journalist also revealing interest from Juventus.
Pedula continued:
“There’s a behind-the-scenes story that needs to be told. Juventus, fascinated by Garnacho, have inquired about Garnacho. They will probably work on him in the last few weeks for next summer, or will, or will. That was the idea.’
Former Man Utd defender Paul Parker suspects Garnacho would be ‘too missed’ if he leaves in the winter transfer window.
Parker told Betfred: “As for Garnacho, even if a new player comes in, I don’t think he will have the same mindset as Mainu. Will he be missed in that sense? Personally, I don’t think so at all. I’d like to say no, and I think I’d miss him too much if he left.
“Anyway he seems to have already considered that move and if he thinks the big clubs abroad are better than Manchester United then he will move. “Only when he gets there does he realize it won’t be the same. I think he’ll realize that he’s pretty much where he is right now and he needs to show it all.”
