According to a report in Portuguese outlet ABola, Bundesliga side Dortmund hope to finalize a deal for the left-handed central defender this month, but face competition from Amorim’s side.
United had their eye on the defender even before Amorim’s arrival and could make an initial loan offer with a buyout obligation worth £33.5m this summer in a bid to beat Dortmund to his signature.
Inacio, who has been dubbed ‘insane’ due to his possession ability, has a release clause worth £51 million, and Sporting are likely to hold on to as much as they can in order to get close to that figure. However, ABola also reports that Inacio’s agent, Miguel Pinho, visited England last week to speak with INEOS about a possible transfer and to confirm the situation with his current client Bruno Fernandes.
