Karim Benzema has said that Vinicius Junior will win the Ballon d’Or in the near future.
The Brazilian forward narrowly missed out on the prestigious award last year, with the trophy handed to Manchester City midfielder Rodri instead.
This move caused serious backlash from Vinicius and Real Madrid, who chose to sit out the event entirely.
Benzema, who left Real Madrid in 2023 to join Al Ittihad in Saudi Arabia, attended Madrid’s recent Supercopa match against Mallorca in Jeddah and joined up with the team later that day.
“I told Vinicius not to be careful,” Benzema told Marca. He is the best in the world and will win the Ballon d’Or one day, so he shouldn’t lower his intensity. ”
Vinicius may have missed out on a major award, but he won the FIFA Men’s ‘Best of the Year’ award last month.
🤩 A very special visit in Jeddah!

life in saudi
Benzema has been enjoying life in Saudi Arabia since leaving Madrid.
The French striker continues to develop at Al Ittihad, who are in the top flight ahead of Al Hilal. The 37-year-old has so far scored 10 goals in 10 appearances.
Responding to rumors that he might retire at the end of the season, Benzema said: “I don’t know whose words it is. It’s nonsense. There is no limit to being able to say that I will quit football after two, three or four years.” .
“I feel good. My body is fine. I train well, so I’ll see how I feel every year.”
“I want to keep winning.
“In my head, I want to win a trophy with Al Ittihad. It will be difficult because the level has risen a lot and the team is stronger than before.”We haven’t won anything yet, so we will keep working hard.” Masu.”
Benzema seems happy in Saudi Arabia, but when asked about the possibility of a return to Madrid in the future, he left the door open and added: I’m in Jeddah now and I’m happy. There will come a time when I will see what my life will be like and it will definitely bring me closer to Madrid. ”
