Outside my window, a clear blue sky is currently drenching my neighborhood in sunlight. But considering my weather app says it feels like it’s 32 degrees out, looks can definitely be deceiving—it is freezing in New York City.  

Although I’ve been holed up in my apartment all day, I will unfortunately have to venture outdoors at some point. Luckily, I’ve pretty much mastered my cold-weather dressing routine, so at least I’ll stay toasty. As a fashion writer, putting together outfits is naturally my favorite part of my day, even during icy occasions like this one. The key is wearing styles that are versatile enough to layer, yet stylish enough to avoid looking frumpy.
