It is Mailloux’s second nomination, after being the sole Rocket representative last year. It will be Roy’s first time at the AHL All-Star Game.
Roy leads the Rocket in scoring with 13 goals and 12 assists (25 points) in 29 games this season. Mailloux has five goals and 11 assists in 27 games this season, and ranks seventh in team scoring, and second among defenders behind Adam Engström.
It is the first time the Rocket have two players named all-stars since Anthony Richard and Alex Belzile when the game was hosted by the Rocket in 2023. Each of the AHL’s four divisions will be represented by 12 players. Rosters were determined by committees of AHL coaches, and all 32 AHL teams are represented by at least one All-Star.
The weekend will be held at the home of the Coachella Valley Firebirds on February 2 and 3. The Rocket have two games this weekend in Cleveland where they will face the Cleveland Monsters on Friday and Saturday.
