If you’re reading this, it means you’re looking for a little help playing Strands, the New York Times’ fancy word search game.
Strands requires players to perform a twist on the classic word search. Words can be formed from letters connected vertically, horizontally, and diagonally, but the orientation of words can also change, resulting in strange shapes and patterns. All letters in the grid become part of the answer. There’s always a theme that ties all the solutions together, and a “spangram”, a special word or phrase that summarizes the theme of the day, extending horizontally or vertically across the grid.

By not providing word lists and providing opaque hints, Strands creates a brain teaser that takes a little longer to play than other games such as Wordle or Connections.
If you’re stuck or don’t have more than 10 minutes to figure out today’s puzzle, we’ve got all the NYT Strands tips for today’s puzzle you need to progress at your preferred pace.
