Arda Guler scored twice as Real Madrid cruised into the Copa del Rey last 16 following a 5-0 rout of fourth-tier Deportiva Minera.
Federico Valverde, Eduardo Camavinga and Luka Modric were also on target for Carlo Ancelotti’s side at Estadio Municipal Cartagonova.
The hosts had stunned LaLiga side Alaves on penalties in the previous round, but fell behind inside just five minutes when Valverde fired into the bottom corner after the hosts failed to deal with Brahim Diaz’s centre.
Camavinga doubled the lead when he nodded in from Fran Garcia’s cross eight minutes later, while Guler’s deflected strike made it 3-0 just before the half-hour mark.
Modric added a fourth within 10 minutes of the restart, neatly combining with Diaz and slotting past Minera goalkeeper Fran Martinez.
Guler completed the rout two minutes from time, arriving in the six-yard box to turn Garcia’s low cross into an empty net.
