I do not often feel a personal connection to an NHL coach, but that’s how I think about Edmonton Oilers coach Kris Knoblauch. We walked the same halls at the University of Alberta. I taught in the Faculty of Education there for over 40 years, and Knoblauch, although I don’t remember formally meeting him, was in the same faculty during his time as a student.
