2020 F150 XLT FX4 SuperCrew
I recently installed this Bilstein suspension package on my 2020 F150 and I”m definitely satisfied with the results. The overall ride quality is improved, with less “hop” that F150’s exhibit over bumps with stock suspension. The overall fit and finish of this suspension package is top notch, as you would expect from Bilstein. The coilovers are adjustable, though I chose to install mine at the max 2 inch height as I suspect many people do. This eliminated most of the factory rake, and gave my truck the stance I was looking for. To answer the question that many ask, YES, you will need a front end alignment after this kit is installed, which I would highly recommended getting done as soon as possible after installation. I installed this kit myself, but it’s worth noting that I’m a professional repair tech, and have have access to a lift, and the necessary tools. This is not a project I would recommend to a novice “do it yourselfer”. A quality spring compressor is needed, and there’s specific procedures that should be followed so you don’t damage the vacuum hubs. If you don’t have the knowledge, or access to the proper tools, I would highly recommend you have an experienced, reputable repair facility install this kit. All of the required contents came neatly packaged, and all necessary hardware was supplied. Instructions are also included, but they mainly pertain to coilover height adjustment and how the coilover is assembled. The suspension on my 2020 F150 is very similar to what my 08 Expedition had, so for me it was just a matter of going through the motions. If you’re looking to level your F150, and want to go a little higher budget than spacers, I think this suspension package is worth every penny. Would definitely recommend.
